করলে ভালো করে করো

একটা paper submit করবো ভাবছিলাম একটা conference-এ. কিন্তু সময় মত করি নাই তাই শেষ মুহূর্তে বিশ দিনের কাজ দু দিনে করতে গেলে যা হয় আর কি -- হিমসিম খাচ্ছিলাম. একবার ভাবলাম যা হয় একটা submit তো করি, তারপর দেখা যাবে. কিন্তু তার পর মনে হল, বেকার নিজের-ই নাম খারাপ করবো... accept/publish তো হবেই না, উপর থেকে এই topic-এ নতুন কিছু আবার খঁুজতে হবে. তাই বরঞ্চ পরের conference-এ যা আসবে দেবো ভালো করে.

I was about to submit this paper to a conference. But did not do it on time and thus I was trying to cram 20 days worth of effort into 2 days. I thought I'd submit whatever half-assed work I did just like that to the conference, but then it seemed futile. Let alone the paper getting accepted or published, I'd also have to think of some new ideas to add to the paper for a re-submission. Hence I decided to defer my submission to the next good conference that comes along.
